This morning I want to speak to you about "being prepared". I have had a lot of time and reason to reflect on being prepared or not, and what I would like you to realize is the being prepared is not such an overwhelming situation. Throughout the course of your week you go to school, go to scout meetings, visit with family, go to sports practice, go to your house of worship, youth group and religious education. Every day skills and knowledge you need to face the challenges of your future are being passed onto you bit by bit. Be open to receive these gifts of skill, technique and knowledge and be ready. Be prepared to use your particular gifts, we all have different ones, for the common good of all those lives you touch daily. In Troop 55, no one goes hungry, and there are no left overs. : )
